PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is alerting drivers that speeding, even to make it to the bathroom, isn’t worth it.
A driver was cited for traveling 100 miles per hour along a road in Phelan, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A social media post this morning April 16, 2025, Officer Jarvis with the Victorville CHP Office was patrolling and driving down on Sheep Creek Road when he spotted a white Nissan Rogue traveling at a high rate of speed and sounding like aa F1 car.
Using the vehicle’s moving radar system, Officer Jarvis locked the Nissan driver traveling at 100 mph. The officer flipped a “uey” and went after the Nissan. The officer conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver a citation for the “alleged” violation.
CHP said, this should go without saying, but 100 mph on these narrow back roads is extremely dangerous. With smaller lane widths, no paved shoulder, and oncoming traffic, triple digit speeds are a recipe for disaster. “No commute is worth your life”. “Just slow down and drive to arrive”.
