NEEDLES, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A fatal crash on westbound Interstate 40 involved two semi tractor-trailers on Sunday morning.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department said crews were called out to a major collision. The crash was reported about 10:48am on westbound I-40 just before California Agricultural Inspection Station.
From the CHP traffic log states the two vehicles were involving a UPS semi tractor-trailer and another semi tractor trailer.
When officers arrived on scene, they located both semis blocking all westbound lanes.
CHP said emergency personnel rendered aid and said, one person was deceased at the scene. Authorities have also not released any information regarding any possible injuries.
At this time, it’s unknown what cause the collision.
