RED MOUNTAIN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A box truck that flipped on its side shut down Highway 395 for hours on Monday afternoon near Ridgecrest, according to California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened just after 12:51pm on July 28, 2025 on Highway 395 near Trona Road, according to authorities.

It looks like the driver of the large box truck lost control and rolled over on its side. The 30-foot box was compromised and spilled its content on the roadway.
No major injuries were reported, according to the fire department. The driver was evaluated by an ambulance at the scene with minor injuries.
Lanes were reopened around 3:50pm.
No word yet on what led to the crash it looks like speed was a factor. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Mojave Office.
