NIPTON, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A semi tractor-trailer went up in a blaze after its brakes caught fire on Interstate 15 about 6 miles from Stateline early Saturday morning.
The incident happened on northbound I-15 about 2:33am on Saturday September 27, 2025, just after the Yates Wells Road exit.
This is when the driver noticed one of the rear tires of the trailer was on fire. The driver stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway.
The semi was carrying an unknown product not listed on the traffic log.
California Highway Patrol were on scene and blocked two of three lanes. CHP receive aid from firefighters San Bernardino County Fire were called to extinguish the flames.
The semi tractor-trailer was a total lost.
No injuries were reported.
