Happy Halloween if your plans include Celebrating, make sure you do it Safe

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol will launch a 12-hour Maximum Enforcement Period (MEP) beginning at 6 p.m. on Halloween night through 6 a.m. on November 1. All available officers will be deployed statewide to protect motorists and prevent impaired driving.

Every year, impaired driving leads to hundreds of fatal crashes across California. Whether it’s alcohol, cannabis, or even prescription medication, impairment can have deadly consequences.

This Halloween, make the right choice; plan ahead, designate a sober driver, or use a ride-share or taxi service. If you see an impaired driver, call 9-1-1. Together, we can keep California’s roads safe for everyone.

The mission of the CHP is to provide the highest level of Safety, Service, and Security.
