During a 12-hour period on Halloween night and Saturday morning, CHP officers made 503 DUI arrests, issued 1,943 speeding tickets (including 96 tickets for driving faster than 100 mph), and handled 6 fatal crashes.

“We appreciate everyone who chose to celebrate responsibly,” CHP said. “Together, we can reduce impaired driving, prevent dangerous driving, and keep our communities safe. Your decisions behind the wheel make a difference for every family on the road.”
