SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was killed and three people are in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a high-speed chase resulted in a vehicle rollover off of the 210 Freeway early Sunday morning.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 11:48pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle failed to pull over. The driver allegedly increased its speed to over 120 mph while weaving through traffic on westbound 210 Freeway, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect vehicle continued on the 210 Freeway and went off the freeway in the city of Upland, went back on the freeway going eastbound at a high rate of speed towards Fontana.
At around 12:12am Sunday morning, the driver was unable to control the vehicle on eastbound 210 Freeway at the State Street exit due to its high speed and rolled over multiple times. The vehicle landed on the right shoulder of the offramp. They said, multiple occupants were ejected from the vehicle.
Deputies immediately requested additional resources to the scene and began providing first aid and life-saving measures to the occupants. One of the suspects that was ejected from the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three other suspects were transported to area hospitals by multiple ambulances, all with major injuries.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office says speed was a factor in the crash and that the names of the individuals involved will not be released at this time. From a press release from the sheriff’s office the involving parties were a Hispanic Male Adult, two Hispanic Male Juvenile, and a Hispanic Female Adult.
Update from the News Release during the investigation, the suspect (driver) was identified as Frank Paul Rodriguez, Jr., 22 year-old, Resident of Rialto The decedent was identified as Alana Marina Juarez, 21, Resident of San Bernardino who was a passenger inside the vehicle. The other two occupants in the vehicle are juveniles, and no charges are being filed at this time.
Rodriguez was booked into the West Valley Detention Center for evading police resulting in great bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter. Rodriguez is being held on a $250,000 bail.
