SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol (CHP) made 1,281 DUI arrests during its Thanksgiving Holiday Enforcement, which ran from 6pm on Wednesday November 26 to 11:59pm on Sunday November 30. The enforcement effort aimed at protecting motorists during one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.
In addition to DUI arrests, officers issued 21,280 speeding citations which 718 of them were for speeds over 100 mph. Statewide, officers completed 52,290 enforcement actions, resulting in 38,301 citations.
CHP said, they remain committed to reducing dangerous driving behaviors and keeping California’s roads safe.
