BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office have released the identity of a 23-year-old Barstow man who was struck and killed by a semi tractor-trailer on New Year’s Eve along Interstate 40, has been ruled a suicide.
Deneco McWilliams died in the collision, which took place about 9:14pm Wednesday, December. 31, 2025, on eastbound I-40 near the Montara Road and E Main Street exits.
California Highway Patrol officers determined McWilliams had been standing in the right-hand lane of the two-lane highway when he was struck by a semi
McWilliams was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The coroner’s investigators ultimately ruled McWilliam’s manner of death to have been suicide.
