SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A driver killed Tuesday morning after their vehicle hit the back of a semi tractor-trailer on eastbound 210 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 5:42am January 20, 2026, on eastbound 210 Freeway near the interchange of Interstate 215.
The two vehicles involved in the collision was a red Hyundai Sonata sedan and a white semi. The vehicles reportedly came to a stop on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway after the Hyundai collided into the back of the semi-truck.
Fire and Paramedics units from San Bernardino County responded to the scene. Unfortunately, at least one person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
