PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Three people were killed Friday morning in a head-on crash on Highway 18/Palmdale Road.
The crash was reported at about 6:53am on January 23, 2026, on Hwy 18/Palmdale Rd. near the intersection of Shandin Rd.
A witness said, a driver in a tan Cadillac sedan was traveling on eastbound Hwy 18 passing people on the left when it crashed into a dark gray Tesla sedan traveling westbound. Both vehicles became fully engulfed in flames upon impact.
San Bernardino County Fire and California Highway Patrol said, two people inside the Tesla were pronounced deceased, along with driver of the Cadillac.
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash.
