LUCERNE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The driver of a dump truck was injured when his truck overturned in a crash Tuesday afternoon on Highway 18.
The crash occurred shortly after 12:30pm on January 28, 2026. The crash happened on Hwy 18 near Phantom Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.
From reports the dump truck crashed and overturned on its side, and the driver sustained injuries to his head.
The truck appeared to be moving dirt material, which spilled onto the shoulder of the highway.
The driver’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, and was transported by ground ambulance.
Emergency crews worked for several hours to clear the scene.
