HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Roadwork is about to start on Phase 2 in the coming weeks on a seven-mile stretch of Highway 395 in Hesperia and Adelanto/ Victorville.
Phase 1 Widening Project is complete on Hwy 395. That project will widen Hwy 395 between Hwy 18 (Palmdale Road) and Chamberlaine Way from two to four highway lanes.
Phase 2 Widening Project will widen Hwy 395 from two to four lanes between Interstate 15 and Hwy 18/Palmdale Road. Also, they will be putting in raised median, turning lanes, and eight-foot shoulders throughout the project limits.
The project said, the highway is anticipated to always remain open during construction. There may be intermittent nighttime lane closures. Businesses will remain accessible at all times. We will notify you in advance of these closures through signage and construction alerts.
Phase 3 project will start after Phase 2 is complete.
Construction is anticipated to end winter 2029.
The $41.85 million project is funded through a combination of Measure I, Surface Transportation Block Grant Program, Trade Corridor Enhancement Program, State Highway Operations and Protection Program, and a Federal Earmark.
