HIGH DESERT, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A Wind Advisory for Sunday late morning into Monday night. A Gusty Wind Event is for Victor/Apple Valley, Lucerne Valley, and the Mojave Desert locations.
This could create hazardous driving conditions and areas of blowing dust for the high desert.
The Southern California Weather Force has issued a Wind Advisory for the high deserts. With winds blowing around from the west direction at 30-40+ mph in the Victor/Apple Valley area. Parts of the Barstow area will have 35-45+ mph winds. Lucerne Valley area will have 35-45+ mph winds. Mountains will have gust 30-40+ mph. Stateline/Primm/Las Vegas NV will have 35-45+ mph winds. Max wind gust will be 50 mph in spots.
Potential for hazardous crosswinds and blowing dust on Interstate 15 from the top of the Cajon Pass through Las Vegas NV as well as other roadways in the desert.
Also secure all outdoor stuff like chairs, BBQ, and other outdoor decorations.
The Wind Advisory should expire by Monday night. with more strong winds on Wednesday and Thursday with gust up to 60+mph.
