SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol Los Banos Office have shared a video to remind drivers to follow the California’s Move Over Law.
The law, which is designed to protect people stopped along the side of the roadway, this requires drivers to move over a lane when it is safe to do so, or slow down to a responsible slower speed when passing vehicles with emergency lights, amber lights, hazard lights, or warning devices.
The law includes stationary vehicles such as California Department of Transportation vehicles (Caltrans), emergency vehicles (Police & Fire), tow trucks, as well as any disabled vehicles with hazard lights on the shoulder of the roadway.
Stay alert, avoid distractions, and anticipate hazards ahead.
We all have somewhere to be, let’s work together so we can all make it there safely.
Remember SLOW DOWN save lives. not MOVING OVER could destroy them.
Failure to obey can result in points on your driving record and a fine.
