BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Barstow Police seized over $1 million worth of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 15.
On Friday, March 27, 2026, at approximately 10:09pm, the Barstow Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a semi tractor-trailer on northbound Interstate 15 at Lenwood Road for a vehicle code violation. Officers contacted the driver, identified as 25-year-old Alberta, Canada resident Lovepreet Singh.
During the investigation, Barstow Police officers deployed a K9. The K9 conducted a free-air sniff of the exterior of the tractor-trailer and alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics.
A subsequent search of the trailer resulted in the discovery of a large quantity of individually wrapped packages of suspected cocaine.
Officers placed Singh under arrest and transported the suspected narcotics to the Barstow Police Department.
Officers weighed the narcotics and determined it totaled approximately 143 pounds and booked them into evidence at the department.
Lovepreet Singh was booked at the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for H&S 11351 – Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, and H&S 11352 – Transportation of a Controlled Substance for Sale.
