About the “Every 15 Minutes” Program
The “Every 15 Minutes” program is an intensive, two-day experiential event designed to dramatically instill in teenagers the potentially dangerous consequences of drinking alcohol and making poor decisions behind the wheel.
The program’s title is derived from the fact that, at the time of its inception, someone in the United States died in an alcohol-related traffic collision every 15 minutes. The event includes a realistic mock crash scene staged on campus, involving student actors and full emergency response teams, to challenge students to think about the impact their decisions have on family, friends, and their community.
