PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Multiple agencies responded to a brush fire May 1, 2026 near the intersection of Trinity Road Acanthus Street, according to local officials.
San Bernardino County Fire was assisted by Cal Fire in responding to the outside fire 11:52am, May 1, 2026, which burned about 18 acres called the Trinity Fire.
Crews were able to quickly contain the fire using fire lines and dirt roads preventing damage to nearby structures.
Officials will be on scene to monitor conditions into the night.
As of that 1:15pm, the fire was reported to have forward rate of spread stopped.
A neighbor told police they saw a homeless man walking away from the area of the fire, raising questions about the cause of the blaze.
Officials have not released additional details about what sparked the fire.
No injuries have been reported.
