PINON HILLS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A motorcyclist killed after striking an animal along Highway 18 in Piñon Hills Friday night, authorities said.
Arturo Villanueva Rivera, 39-year-old man from Victorville died in the crash, according to San Bernardino County coroner’s officials.
The accident was reported near the intersection of Palmdale Rd/Hwy 18 and Descanso Rd. around 8:12pm on May 1, 2026 according to the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses said, “the motorcycle rider had struck an animal and was ejected from the motorcycle.”
He died from his injuries at the scene.
At this time no details on the type of animal involved in the crash.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office
