CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A death investigation was underway in the Cajon Pass Thursday morning after a man’s body was found near a set of train tracks, deputies said.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) employees first came upon the remains at about 9:53am on July 16, 2026, along a dirt road next to the train tracks near Cajon Junction, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials.
Deputies said when they found the man, was pronounced him deceased at the scene.
His identity was not released.
The cause of death will now be determined by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner Office.
