CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department have released the identity of a 23-year-old man from Michoacan, Mexico, who was found shot to death along a set of train tracks at the Cajon Pass last month.
The victim has been ID as Jorge Alejandro Quiroz Abarca, 23-year-old Male resident of Michoacan, Mexico.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) employees first came upon the remains of a body at or about 9:53am on July 16, 2026, along a dirt road next to the train tracks near Cajon Junction on the Hesperia side, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials press release.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division Homicide Detail is investigation and they said the unknown suspect or suspects remains at large.
