CAJON PASS, CA. ( Pain In The Pass) >> Authorities are investigating of reports of shots fired at a BNSF Railway (Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway) freight train crew members Monday evening.
The incident occurred at about 6:22pm August 10, 2026, in the Cajon Pass near Cajon Boulevard and Cleghorn Road. The freight train was reportedly heading north up the Cajon Pass.
Emergency response officials responded to at least two locations the one near Cleghorn Rd and the second one between Highway 138 (Hesperia side) and the 15 Freeway on 3N45 Fire Road
All we know at this time with the help of two San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department helicopters and a California Highway Patrol airplane overhead.
Officers arrived at the railroad tracks, and they located at least two suspects, one suspect found to have a handgun. Both parties were reported detained for questioning.
No injuries were have been comfirmed.
