PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two people were airlifted after a head-on collision in Phelan Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, around 5:07am on August 13, 2026, San Bernardino County Fire crews responded to a head-on collision between two vehicles, a black Nissan Altima sedan and possibly a white Ford F-250 pickup truck, on Baldy Mesa Road near Phelan Rd.
When responders arrived on scene, they began to render aid to individuals in each vehicle.
Two medical helicopters were requested to the scene for both drivers.
Mercy Air 2 and #22 medical helicopters transported both to Arrowhead Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office is investigating the scene and the crash is still under investigation.
