VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two GoFundMe campaigns were created to help the families of the two teenagers killed in Friday night’s catastrophic 3-vehicle high speed crash on Ridgecrest Road.
The San Bernardino County Coroner has identified the driver of the dark colored Acura sedan as Maddalyn Dailey 17-year-old from Victorville and her best friend passenger named only as Isabell, 16-year-old from Hesperia
Both teens were pronounced deceased at the scene by officials.
A GoFundMe for the driver titled “Help Us Honor Maddalyn Dailey” was started on the behalf of Mallorie Zamora to help Maddalyn’s family with funeral and memorial expenses.
According to the fundraiser, Maddalyn had just begun her senior year at Sultana High School and had “so much life ahead of her.”
Her family described the loss of Maddalyn and her best friend as devastating and said donations will help ease the unexpected financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses while the family grieves and honors her life.
The second GoFundMe is for the passenger, titled “Honoring Isabell’s Beautiful Life,” was created to support Isabell’s loved ones following her death.
The fundraiser describes Isabell as “sweet, funny, silly, smart,” strong in her faith and deeply loved by those who knew her. It states that she had also just begun her senior year of high school, worked hard in school, loved her church and had big dreams for her future.
In the fundraiser, Isabell’s family said she and her best friend were tragically killed in what they described as a preventable crash caused by illegal street racing.
Witness indicated the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Charger were street racing with there night off before the collision.
The California Highway Patrol Victorville Station has not released any additional updates on the investigation.
