CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Authorities are investigating after a deceased person was found near a set of train tracks along Baldy Mesa Road 3n21 and Highway 138 near Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Tuesday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol, the body was reported around 11:13am on August 25, 2026 next to a set of train tracks on a dirt road near the 15 freeway. A responding unit reported the body appeared to have been there for some time and there was no vehicle believed to be associated with the deceased person.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was requested to respond and continue the investigation.
No information regarding the person’s identity or circumstances surrounding the death has been released at this time.
The cause of death will now be determined by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner Office.
