VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Terry Lamar Easter the driver, California Highway Patrol believe was involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed two teenage is now in custody after he turned himself in, authorities announced on Wednesday.
The breaking news has development on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, comes two days after the California Highway Patrol announced the warrants in connection with the case, Madge Wells his mother turned herself on Tuesday and Ryan James Lewis his friend, turned himself on Monday.
Terry L. Easter is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on Friday, August. 28, at 8am.
The charges arise from August 14th crash on Friday night on Ridgecrest Road and Elmwood Drive in the city of Victorville that killed 17-year-old Victorville resident Maddalyn G. Dailey and her best friend, 16-year-old Hesperia resident Isabell Hill.
CHP previously said, Terry L. Easter was the driver of the yellow Chevrolet Camaro and a black Dodge Charger were traveling northbound on Ridgecrest Rd. with no lights on at a high rate of speed when an Acura driven by Maddalyn pulled out from Elmwood Drive and attempted to make a left turn in front of them.
This resulted in a three-vehicle high speed collision. The yellow Camaro caught fire following the impact, while the Acura sustained major damage and was split into two.
Maddalyn and Isabell were pronounced deceased at the scene. The 11-year-old boy from the Camaro suffered critical injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the Carmaro fled the scene of the crash on foot. The driver of the Charger did stay at the crash scene.
California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office has not confirmed that street racing was the caused the crash.
