VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has charged Terry Lamar Easter, 50-year-old from Apple Valley with two counts of murder following a street racing crash in the City of Victorville that killed two teenagers who were best friends.
Easter is accused of racing at speeds reaching 117 mph when he crashed into a vehicle occupied by the victims, ages 16 and 17. Both teenagers were killed.
At the time of the race and collision, Easter’s injured 8-year-old child was a passenger in his yellow Chevrolet Camero. After the crash, Easter allegedly abandoned the child and fled the scene.
We are grateful to the California Highway Patrol who conducted a thorough investigation, leading to Defendant Easter surrendering to authorities and being taken into custody.
Easter is charged with two counts of PC 187 – murder, one count of PC 273a(a) – willful cruelty to a child and one count of VC 23109(a) – engaging in a motor vehicle speed contest.
“This was not an accident. Street racing at 117 mph is a deliberate and extraordinarily dangerous choice that ended the lives of two young best friends, exposing his own 8-year-old child to that danger, and abandoning his child after the crash to flee the scene.” District Attorney Jason Anderson said. “We intend to hold him responsible for every life devastated by his alleged actions.”
Easter is scheduled for arraignment at 8:30am on August 31st, at Victorville Superior Courthouse Dept. V9.

The other driver George Gary Sanchez, 49-year-old from Riverside was also arrested, he was the driver of a Dodge Charger. He is charged for allegations of murder and gross vehicular manslaughter with negligence.
California Highway Patrol investigators said, Terry L. Easter was the driver of the yellow Chevrolet Camaro and George Gary Sanchez the driver of the black Dodge Charger were traveling northbound on Ridgecrest Rd. with no lights on at a high rate of speed when an Acura driven by Maddalyn pulled out from Elmwood Drive and attempted to make a left turn in front of them.
This resulted in a three-vehicle high speed collision. The yellow Camaro caught fire following the impact, while the Acura sustained major damage and was split into two.
Maddalyn and Isabell were pronounced deceased at the scene. The 8-year-old boy from the Camaro suffered critical injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the Carmaro fled the scene of the crash on foot. The driver of the Charger did stay at the crash scene.
