HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The Hesperia Police Department conducted a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint on last Friday August 28, 2026 and the results are in.
The checkpoint was conducted from 6pm to 1am on Main Street at Fifth Avenue in Hesperia.
During the checkpoint, 700 vehicles were screened, resulting in the following:
- 60 citations issued.
- 11 were for drivers who were unlicensed or had a suspended driver’s license.
- 20 vehicles were towed.
- 1 DUI
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
