DEVORE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A small brush fires was quickly extinguished next to northbound 15 Freeway at the top of the Cajon Pass Friday afternoon.
The fire was reported at about 6:24am Friday, July 29, 2022. Located near the of end of Marion Ave and Interstate 15/215 freeway. US Forest Service, CAL Fire, and San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters were quickly on scene. At 6:45am the fire had been stopped and about out.
Firefighters did remain in the area for mop-up operations for about a hour or so to make sure no hot spots flare up. The cause of the fire is under investigation and it was reported a homeless camp may have started the fire.
