First Small Heat Wave of the Summer Hitting SoCal

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The first heat wave of the summer arrives in Southern California for three days, bringing triple-digit heat to the Inland Empire and the high desert.

Temperatures will rise to the triple-digits when the heat wave peaks on Wednesday, Thursday, and ending Friday.

An area of high pressure will sit right over the region on Wednesday and Thursday, and that sinking air compresses, making temperatures hotter and hotter.

A Heat Advisory has been issued from Wednesday at 10am through Thursday at 8pm in the area the IE and desert.

Relief won’t arrive until Saturday, when temperatures begin to dip back down as the pressure weakens and the sea breeze moves back in heading into the weekend.

If you like the heat, another heat wave in the forecast for next week.
