CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A man riding a motorcycle died after he hit a guardrail on Southbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Thursday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol, a man was riding a motorcycle southbound I-15 Freeway in front of the old weight station just before the Cleghorn Road exit, around 7:31am August 27, 2026.
For unknown reasons, the motorcycle struck the right shoulder guardrail and the rider was thrown onto the slow lane. The motorcycle continued traveled without the rider down the freeway and crashed in the center median wall about 300 feet away from the rider.
The motorcycle rider died at the scene with major injuries, authorities said.
His name is being withheld pending family notification.
Witnesses are urged to contact CHP at (909) 806-2400.
