CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A silver Mercedes-Benz GLS series SUV hauling a U-Haul trailer caught fire on Interstate 15 Thursday afternoon.
San Bernardino County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to the scene about two miles before the Oak Hill Roa exit, around 12:15pm on July 31, 2025.
Officials arrived to find the SUV engine compartment in flames.
All occupants of the SUV were able to exit safely, authorities said. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
