TECOPA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Emergency dispatchers have confirmed that one person was airlifted for their injuries after a rollover crash on Highway 127 Friday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened on Hwy 127 near the Inyo and San Bernardino County line near Ibex Pass the town of Tecopa around 6am on November 7, 2025, after a tractor-trailer rolled over and caught fire.
The crash, which officials confirmed involved one semi tractor-trailer hauling gallons of milk, left the roadway and rollover on its side started on fire.
Rescue crews arrived from San Bernardino County Fire and from Pahrump Valley Fire, had to shut down the highway at the top of Ibex Summit and Old Spanish Trail Hwy for traffic control to fight the fire and to airlift the driver out.
Liberty Air 8 helicopter landed at the scene and airlift the patient to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas with burns to his body.
