Evenflo Recalls Over 74,000 Car Seats due to possible Safety Concerns

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Evenflo has issued a voluntary recall for over 74,000 of its 4-in-1 car seats for safety concerns in the recline position.

During testing, the company found that when the seat was used rear-facing, it may shift from one recline position to another.

While Evenflo says the seat is still OK to use in rear-facing mode, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a statement saying, “A child seat that does not maintain proper recline position may not adequately secure a child in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.”

So far, no injuries have been reported, Evenflo said.

Passengers should also be careful to avoid putting their hands or fingers into the recline mechanism in the rear-facing position to avoid possible pinching. Owners can fold a small towel inside the recline mechanism to fill the open space.

Only certain models of the All4One 4-in-1 convertible car seats manufactured between January 2022 and June 2024, sold in the United States and Canada, are included in the recall.
