RICE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> > A fiery crash along State Route Highway 62 left three dead, Friday morning.
The collision was reported at about 8:21am May 22, 2026, on eastbound Hwy 62/Rice Road near Cadiz Road. The two vehicles involved in the collision was a white Lexus sedan and a white Toyota Carmy hybrid sedan
At the scene, first responders found two vehicles fully engulfed in flames with people trap inside both vehicles.
Authorities said one of the drivers lost control crossed the centerline and T-bone the other vehicle. The impact caused both vehicles to burst into flames.
According to officials, the driver and passengers in one of the vehicles and the other driver, were all pronounced deceased at the scene. All their names are withheld pending identification and notification to next of kin.
The factor what lead up to the collision is under investigation.
