VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) George Gary Sanchez, 49-years old from Riverside, the second driver involved in the August 14 fatal street racing crash that killed two teenagers Maddalyn G. Dailey and Isabell Hill on Ridgecrest Road in the city of Victorville, has also been charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
California Highway Patrol investigators said, Terry L. Easter was the driver of the yellow Chevrolet Camaro and George Gary Sanchez the driver of the black Dodge Charger were traveling northbound on Ridgecrest Rd. with no lights on at a high rate of speed when an Acura driven by Maddalyn pulled out from Elmwood Drive and attempted to make a left turn in front of them.
This resulted in a three-vehicle high speed collision. The yellow Camaro caught fire following the impact, while the Acura sustained major damage and was split into two.
Maddalyn and Isabell were pronounced deceased at the scene. The 8-year-old boy from the Camaro suffered critical injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the Carmaro fled the scene of the crash on foot. The driver of the Charger did stay at the crash scene.
George Sanchez has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder and a misdemeanor charge of engaging in a speed contest on a roadway.
Sanchez is scheduled to return to Victorville Superior Court on September 30, 2026, at 8:30am in Department V10. A booking photo of Sanchez has not been released to the media at this time.
This means both drivers involved in the fatal crash are now facing charges of two counts of second-degree murder and a misdemeanor charge of engaging in a speed contest.
Terry Lamar Easter, 50-year-old, from Apple Valley, the driver of the yellow Chevrolet Camaro, pleaded not guilty to all charges earlier this week. He is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, one felony count of child endangerment and one misdemeanor count of engaging in a speed contest on a roadway.
Bail for Easter remains set at $1 million. His next court dates are listed as a pre-preliminary hearing on September 8 in Rancho Cucamonga, followed by a preliminary hearing on September 10 in Victorville.
