LUCERNE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A woman has died from her injuries after being struck by a pickup truck in Lucerne Valley Friday evening, California Highway Patrol said.
CHP said the incident was reported at about 6:27pm on Friday, September 18, 2026, they responded to reports of a single vehicle vs. pedestrian collision at Highway 18 near Christenson Road.
Preliminary information indicates a tan colored Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling on Hwy 18 struck a female pedestrian. A caller reported that the pedestrian had ran into the roadway before she was struck by the pickup truck.
First responders discovered a woman with critical injuries at the scene. She was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center but was pronounced deceased shortly after 7pm.
CHP say the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the ongoing investigation.
At this time, they have not released the identity of the victim.
