BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A small SUV caught fire on southbound Interstate 15 Sunday afternoon, created smoke that you could see for miles.
California Highway Patrol and Barstow Fire Department were getting calls of a white SUV on fire at Old Highway 58 exit at 3:42pm on October 23, 2022.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the slow lane and the middle lane while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out.
The everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed.
No injuries were reported at the scene. It was reported flames were under the vehicle before the vehicle caught fire. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
