California Highway Patrol and Victorville Fire Department firefighters were getting calls of a vehicle on fire on northbound Interstate 15 in the right shoulder just before Palmdale Road. The black Dodge Ram truck fire was reported about 7pm Thursday May 11, 2023, with flames coming from the engine compartment.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene to work on getting the vehicle fire put out. They had to temporary shut down the #1 and the middle lane. The vehicle was reported to be a Dodge Ram pickup truck. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed.
No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
