California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters were getting calls of a vehicle on fire on northbound Interstate 15 in the center divider just after Kenwood Avenue. The vehicle fire was reported about 12pm Friday July 28, 2022, with flames coming from the engine compartment.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene to work on getting the vehicle fire put out. They had to temporary shut down the fast lane. The vehicle was reported to be a silver Kia Sorento SUV.
Everybody did escape the vehicle and no injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
