CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A semi-truck burst into flames on northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass. (Photo above is credit by Elier Rodriguez.)
California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department, and San Bernardino National Forest firefighters were on scene of a semi off of the right shoulder of the freeway on fire. The semi was located on northbound Interstate 15 between Kenwood Avenue and Cleghorn Road exits about 2:40pm October 26, 2023.
The cab of a semi was fully engulfed with flame, the trailer was intact with no fire damage.
Everybody did escape the semi before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene.
Traffic was jammed at the bottom of the Cajon Pass this afternoon.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office.
