California Highway Patrol and the fire Department said they received a call of a vehicle fire that happened on northbound Interstate 15 just before the Cleghorn Road exit. At around 7:10am on November 1, 2023, a silver Toyota Highlander SUV was reported on the right shoulder of the freeway on fire.
Flames were coming from the engine compartment. Everybody did escape the vehicle before catching fire.
Crews managed to control the blaze before catching nearby brush. The vehicle would be towed away, but not before snarling traffic in the area until almost 9am.
The cause for the blaze was not immediately released.
