California Highway Patrol and the fire Department said they received a call of a vehicle fire that happened on northbound Interstate 15 about a mile after the Highway 138 exit. At around 8:52pm on November 3, 2023, a gray Toyota Highlander SUV was reported on the right shoulder of the freeway.
Flames were coming from the engine compartment. It was reported two people did escape the vehicle before catching fire.
Crews managed to control the blaze before catching nearby brush. There has been no word on any injuries.
