VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A car caught fire on southbound Interstate15 late Labor Day Monday morning, created a traffic jam for miles.

California Highway Patrol and Victorville City Fire Department were getting calls of a silver small SUV on fire in the center divider at the Niqualli/La Mesa Road exit at 11:44am on Septmeber 2, 2024.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down all lanes while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out.

The everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. It was reported flames were under the engine compartment. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
