BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A vehicle fire spread to vegetation along southbound Interstate 15 Saturday afternoon.
The fire started around 1:41pm on July 5, 2025, on southbound I-15 on the Halloran Spring Road offramp.
Fire crews responded to a fully engulfed car fire on the offramp of the freeway. The fire from the car spread to the nearby vegetation on the shoulder of the freeway, turning into a brush fire fueled by the afternoon winds and dry brush.
The black small sedan was destroyed and about an acre of brush was burned, according to San Bernardino County Fire.
Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
