CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Four people were injured after crashing into the back of a semi and caught fire on northbound Interstate 15 on Saturday morning.
The collision was reported at about 2:30am on November 8, 2025, on northbound I-15 about two miles away from the Oak Hill Road exit. California Highway Patrol confirm one patient was still trapped in the vehicle on fire.
A blue vehicle with at least four people inside crashed into the back of a semi near the top of the Cajon Pass on northbound I-15. The vehicle lost control after hitting the trailer and caught fire, according to the California Highway Patrol traffic log.
San Bernardino County Fire said four patients total and all were transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospitals. They said the driver was removed from the vehicle had reported to have severe 2nd degrees burn all over his body and was transported to a trauma center. The other three patients’ condition are unknown at this time.
CHP said everybody had been drinking prior to the crash. Also, they said it’s unknown if the driver was under the influence of alcohol and waiting for results to come back.
