HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) – Starting Monday morning April 29 major road construction on Main Street from between Topaz Avenue and Escondido Avenue will have one lane closed in each direction in the city of Hesperia.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes around the construction location. Also expect major traffic delays in this section, it can take 10 to 20 minutes or more to get by the road construction location.

This is part of the Hesperia annual street improvement project that is paid by the California gas tax (SB 1).

This project includes removal and replacement asphalt as well as the remediation of severe drainage issues and a sag in the sewer line through this section of roadway.

Work is scheduled to begin April 29 and continue for approximately 45 days if weather permitted.

Road closures scheduled for the intersection of Main Street and Topaz to La Junta and Main Street/Topaz to Spruce for May 1st  and May 2nd  from 7pm to 3am. Detours will be in place. It is strongly advised to use alternate routes around these days.

Update on the construction should be done by June 30 if weather permitted.
