BASIN AREA near BAKER, CA (Pain In The Pass) – California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department units were called to the scene of a accident on northbound I-15 between the city of Barstow and the city of Baker in the high desert.

The accident is located around 30 miles away from Basin Road. From the CHP the accident happened at 3pm with a white SUV had rolled over three time and landed on it’s wheels blocking the fast lane on northbound 15 ejecting a person out of the vehicle don’t know if the person was a driver or passenger.

At 3:07pm a green big rig semi with a trailer has crash into 3 to 4 vehicles and went through the center dirt divider the freeway onto the southbound side lanes and went the lanes up the dirt embankment shoulder.

CHP temporary blocked all northbound 15 for about a hour. Southbound was always open the big rig was on the shoulder.

Three helicopter were requested with one for the person with a fractured left arm at the elbow and with internal swelling and one for the ejected person and one for a report of a heart attack. All three patients were flown to a trauma center.

Multiple people were trap in multiple vehicles. A total of 12 people were transported by ground ambulances.

No known fatalities at this time at 4:30pm

At 4:15pm CHP open the fast lane up.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol Barstow Station will be investigating the incident.
