HESPERIA, CA (Pain In The Pass) — On Monday morning and Tuesday morning July 15th and July 16th  from 7am to 5pm subjuct to change. Intermittent closures of the intersection of Main Street at Escondido Avenue (Where the Walmart and Aldi Shopping Centers is located) and Main St. at Topaz Ave. (Where the 99¢ Store and Wood Grill Buffet Shopping Centers is located) both in the city of Hesperia.

The Main Street Paving Project is nearing completion.

Although the closure will be inconvenient, this is a large scale project that will benefit residents and other motorists as both particular intersection is one of the most heavily traveled in Hesperia.

Monday morning – Topaz Ave/Main St: 7am Work will begin from La Junta Rd. to the east side of the low water crossing pavement. This will require intermittent closures of the intersection of Topaz and Main as the paving operation passes through the intersection.

Expect significant delays. Detours will be in place.

For the safety of the workers and the traveling public, the east/ west signals will be in operation.

Tuesday morning – Escondido Ave/Main St: 7am Work will begin at Escondido to the west side of the low water crossing pavement. This will require intermittent closures of the intersection of Escondido and Main as the paving operation passes through the intersection.

Expect significant delays. Detours will be in place.

For the safety of the workers and the traveling public, the east/ west signals will be in operation.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes around the construction locations. Also expect major traffic delays in the sections, it can take 10 to 20 minutes or more to get by the road construction locations.

This is part of the Hesperia Annual Street Improvement Project. This was paid by the New California Gas Tax (SB 1).
