SAN BERNARDINO, CA (Pain In The Pass) – California Highway Patrol and Fire Department units were called to the scene of a accident on westbound I-10 freeway near Tippecanoe Avenue. At 4:38pm a CHP motorcycle officer was hit while doing a traffic break when a Nissan Versa vehicle hit the officer.
CHP officer was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for unknown injuries.
SIG ALERT was issued at 4:50pm for ALL westbound I-10 freeway lanes.
The accident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland San Bernardino office.
CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.

6:08pm Update the #1 and #2 lanes are reopen.
